North America: Double Z Project

As a part of the new businesses to be given value to the Cirsa IPO, finally abandoned in 2000, was Internet. I was in charge of directing the spin off called Global Internet TV, and to seek an American Partner to create an R & D company for Internet gaming. The company called Double Z was registered in Nevada and his workplace was located in Los Angeles. The company was founded with the purchase of the source code an tehcnology of two American and one Canadian companies. The project was valued at 10 million USD and we worked with Baker & McKenzie firm in San Francisco as legal advisors. Global Internet TV also formed a Joint Venture with Lost Boys Interactive called Paradisowap.com for the creation of mobile games.

Colombia: iSlot implementation

We have already discussed the project iSlot from a technological perspective. In terms of product development, we started with a large becnhmarking of the best machines in the market and the first PC based slots. We also conduct a study of the consumer behavior and a deep research of innovative technologies available. At the operational level had to overcome numerous difficulties. The production was done locally in Bogota for customs costs issues. We had to select a suitable supplier like South Coin Machine. Test were performed and conducted focus groups before launch the product. We implemented a datacenter in Colombia and another in Spain to service the slots machines. The coordination of differents teams like product marketing, software and hardware engineers, testing and manufacturing between Spain and Colombia was crucial.

Latam: Cirsagames infraestructure, SBG

We have also discussed the project Cirsagames from a technological perspective. Once we had the full suite of games with their servers and backoffice, chose Curazao as the best jurisdiction to begin with. In the course of a year we were selecting local suppliers and consultants, negotiating with the Gaming Board, creating the necessary partnerships. We reached an agreement with a local partner to begin to sell the product.

I was in charge of a new SBG project between the manufacturer of slot machines, Unidesa, belonging to Cirsa (Spain) and the software developer, Videobet (Estonia), a subsidiary of Playtech. We conducted a production of 50 machine. We had to coordinate the European development, and to manage shipments of machinery and local test in Argentina, Dominican Republic, Panama and Colombia.

Korea: Cirsagames Lottery

The project was about to develop a software client and implement some instant lottery games (Norito) that existed in physical terminals..We use Flash technology (Action Script). I had also to perform the right marketing for attracting players. It was a truly cultural challenge.

Change Management: VAR, B2B

 I had several experiences of managing change. Scorpion Networking (now Tecnocom ) dedicated to the distribution and integration of software of security and networking hired me to restructure the sales and technical team, as well as open new business like integration and consulting services.

Also I worked in staff with the CEO of Cirsa (Joaquim Agut) and with the consultancy Mercer Consulting, to design the merger of the companies Cirsa Manufacturing and Cirsa Interactive now Cirsa B2B .
